Iowa Carry Class

Service Description

Please note: This class is open to anyone 18 years and older. Participants under 18 are welcome to attend but will not receive a certificate, as they are ineligible to apply for a permit. In this class, you will learn: Iowa carry laws — where you can and cannot carry What your carry permit does (and doesn’t) provide How to apply for a carry permit The process of purchasing a firearm, with or without a permit Proper firearm storage — including real examples of household storage units The difference between reasonable force and deadly force Multiple scenarios for in-home and out-of-home defense Proper post-incident procedures Defensive shooting basics Ammunition types and selection How to choose the right firearm for you Firearm fundamentals: aiming, trigger control, breathing, stance Concealment options and tips Range time (practice only, no grading) At the end of the class, eligible participants will receive a certificate to present to your local sheriff’s office if you decide to apply for your carry permit.
