Who am i?
Hi, I’m Madisyn, a passionate advocate for firearm education, safety, and empowering women in the shooting sports industry. As a certified NRA instructor, I’ve been shooting firearms for as long as I can remember—it's a part of who I am. Growing up in an environment where firearms were a regular part of my life, assisted in my passion for hunting. Building not only a strong connection with nature but also an understanding of the responsibility that comes with firearm ownership.
Alongside my passion for firearms, I’m also a proud foster dog mom, dedicating time to helping animals in need. It’s a rewarding part of my life that reminds me of the importance of care, responsibility, and compassion.
In my journey, I recognized the need for more women to feel empowered and confident in the firearm world, so I founded I Carry My Own—a platform dedicated to guiding and supporting women entering the firearm industry. My goal with I Carry My Own is to break down barriers and create a welcoming space for women of all backgrounds to explore the world of firearms, whether it’s for personal defense, sport, or simply gaining a new skill.
Through my work as an instructor, I aim to not only teach the technical skills of firearm safety and shooting but also to build a supportive community for women, where they can ask questions, grow in confidence, and learn from one another. Firearms are an important tool, and I believe everyone, especially women, should feel empowered to own, handle, and carry them safely and responsibly.
