This is the best place to start your firearms journey.

Designed specifically for women who are new to firearms—or simply want to build a stronger foundation—this session focuses on developing safe habits, confidence, and a clear understanding of how to safely operate a pistol before moving into more advanced training.

Required for All New Clients

To provide the safest and most personalized instruction possible, this session is required for all new clients before booking additional private lessons. Every woman comes to training with a different background, experience level, and goal. This session gives me the opportunity to understand where you're starting, evaluate your current skills and comfort level, and tailor future instruction to your individual needs. Whether you've never handled a firearm or have previous experience, this ensures we begin at the right place and create a training plan that supports your goals.

We'll begin in the classroom, where we'll cover the fundamentals of firearm safety, proper stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, loading and unloading the pistol, and overall pistol operation. This relaxed environment gives you plenty of time to ask questions, become familiar with the pistol, and build confidence before ever stepping onto the range.

Once you're comfortable with the fundamentals, we'll transition to the range for guided, hands-on instruction. Through personalized coaching and practical drills, you'll apply what you've learned while improving your accuracy, confidence, and overall comfort handling a firearm.

By the end of the session, you'll leave with a solid foundation in firearm safety and handling, along with the confidence to continue your training—whether that's additional private instruction, group classes, or your Iowa Permit to Carry course.

This session isn't just about learning how to shoot—it's about building the knowledge, confidence, and skills to safely and responsibly own and operate a firearm.
